A former manager of Rush Credit Union has issued an apology in court after she pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of euro from the financial institution over a number of years.
65-year-old Anne Butterly from Channel Road in Rush was arraigned before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court this morning, where she pleaded guilty to stealing €34,000, the property of Rush Credit Union.
Her lawyers told the court it was a "community case" and she was "relaying an unreserved apology to all concerned".
Judge Martin Nolan said that apology could be revisited at the time of sentence, which he set for the 23 January next.
The court will hear victim impact evidence on that date.
Before today's guilty plea, Ms Butterly was originally charged with 35 counts involving the theft of just under €900,000.
