Two men and a woman have appeared in Drogheda District Court charged with aiding and abetting an international crime gang.
The case was the first of its kind in the Drogheda District Court area which covers south Louth and east Meath.
The court heard that none of the accused made any reply when charged with the offences.
Inga Juskauskaite, 35, Park Grove Grangerath, Drogheda, Co Meath, is accused of possessing controlled drugs for sale or supply on behalf of a criminal organisation on a date unknown between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021; concealing cash totalling €16,745 on dates in April, July, August, September and November 2021 knowing it was the proceeds of crime; acquiring €26,000 on 30 November 2021 in payment for a 2018 Mercedes E Series car knowing it was the proceeds of crime and sending a total of €5,000 in five separate transactions from a Bank of Ireland account to a Lithuanian bank account knowing it was the proceeds of crime.
Marius Brazauskas, 36, Charleville, Dunleer, Co Louth, and Lukas Glatkauskas, 37, Rosevale, Drogheda, are each charged with the cultivation and possession of drugs for sale or supply for the benefit of a criminal organisation on a date unknown between 1 January 2021 and 4 June 2021 at Bryanstown Court Drogheda and B/S Autos Duleek.
All three were remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on 1 November for the preparation and service of books of evidence.
