Philip Dunbar found guilty of stabbing Adam Muldoon to death in Dublin park in 2018

A 20-year-old Dublin man has been found guilty of murdering another man by stabbing him 183 times in a park in Dublin two years ago.

Philip Dunbar, of Glenshane Drive, Tallaght in Dublin, had pleaded not guilty to the murder of 23-year-old Adam Muldoon at Butler Park in Jobstown Park, Tallaght, on 22 or 23 June 2018.

Dunbar told gardaí that he carried out the stabbing, but said he has no memory of it.

He said he remembered going into the field with Mr Muldoon, who was homeless at the time, but then blacked out.

It took the jury almost three hours to reach a unanimous verdict.

There was an angry exchange between Dunbar and a family member after the verdict was read, during which "who's laughing now" was shouted.

Dunbar will be sentenced on Friday.
