The second boy accused of the murder of schoolgirl Anastasia Kriégel a year ago told gardaí that he refused at first to call for the schoolgirl on the day she was last seen.
The 14-year-old's body was found in a derelict house in Lucan in May last year.
Two 14-year-old boys have pleaded not guilty to murdering Ana in a derelict house in Lucan on 14 May 2018.
The first accused boy has also denied violently sexually assaulting her.
The Central Criminal Court heard the second boy said he agreed "at last" after the first accused boy started saying "please, please, please".
The jury has begun watching the interviews conducted with Boy B on 24 May last year, after his arrest on suspicion of Ana's murder.
The boy was arrested by appointment after going to a Dublin garda station with his mother and his solicitor.
Wearing a hoodie and tracksuit bottoms, he was asked if he understood the difference between right and wrong and between the truth and a lie and other aspects of his arrest were explained to him.
The boy pointed out various areas to gardaí on a map of the area around St Catherine's Park in Lucan.
These included a place he described as "the abandoned house". He said he and three friends, including Boy A, had been there before "a couple of months ago" when they were exploring.
He showed them where he had last seen Ana Kriégel on 14 May 2018.
He said he went up to her and said 'Hi' but she did not say anything back.
He said she looked really sad so he went in front of her and walked on.
He said when he looked back she had gone.
Gardaí asked Boy B to tell them everything that happened on that day and told him it was his opportunity to tell the truth.
He described returning from school. He said Boy A, the first accused boy in this case, called for him around 4:20pm.
He said it was around this time Boy A asked him to call for Ana.
He told gardaí that he said no at first but then Boy A started saying "please, please, please" and he then agreed.
He said he left the house to go call for the schoolgirl at around 4:55pm.
Earlier today, the court heard that two items of clothing worn by Ana were extensively damaged using force.
