The jurors in the trial of two teenage boys for the murder of schoolgirl Ana Kriégel have been shown items recovered from the room in which she was found, including a large bloodstained concrete block, a piece of timber and the hoodie she was wearing.
The two 14-year-olds have pleaded not guilty to murder. One has also pleaded not guilty to aggravated sexual assault.
Detective Garda Séamus O'Donnell of the garda ballistics section told the court he attended the scene at Glenwood House, where Ana's body was found, on the evening of 17 May 2018.
He said there was a length of blue "tescon" tape - used to hold sheets of insulation together - wound once around Ana's neck and her left hand was grasping it.
He said there was blood on all four walls of the room in which she was found and he described identifying bloodstains and taking samples from the scene.
The Detective Garda said there were small cuts and abrasions all over Ana's body, a defined mark on the left side of her face and a lot of damage to the rear of her scalp. He took various samples and swabs.
A black hoodie with distinctive white writing, recovered from the room, was held up to the jurors.
The garda also identified a large piece of timber which was burnt at one end with a nail sticking out and was also bloodstained.
The jurors were also shown a large half of a concrete block, which was bloodstained in a number of areas.
Earlier the jurors were shown photographs of the scene, taken by Detective Garda Eoin Conway in which Ana's body was pixellated.
Some of the photos showed items of clothing on the floor and a smashed iPhone.

Court hears Ana's body found in dark room in derelict house
Detective Garda Conway said there was highly adhesive blue tape on Ana's body and around her neck and there was "quite a lot of it" around the body.
The jurors were told pieces of hair were sticking to the tape as well as a locket in the shape of a love heart.
Her black hoodie was discoloured and there was some bloodstaining on the inside. A vest top was torn and bloodstained as was her bra, the clasp of which was pulled or strained. Her leggings were scuffed and dirtied.
The jurors were also shown a 3D computer-generated reconstruction of the crime scene, which will be used by a number of witnesses in the case.
