A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of David Boland in Athy, Co Kildare.
Calvin Cullen, with an address at Green Hills, Athy, appeared before a special sitting of Naas District Court this morning.
Mr Boland, from Nurney, was stabbed multiple times during a row on Duke Street in Athy at around 5.30am on Thursday.
The father of one was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise where he later died.
Mr Cullen was remanded in custody to appear at Naas District Court on Thursday 8 November.
