The body of 27-year-old Limbani Mzoma, better known as Robert, was found at the same address on Thursday night.

He had sustained a number of knife wounds which it is understood amounted to mutilation.

The court was told Ms Miano is suffering from pains in her head and legs.

Judge Grainne Malone ordered that she should receive whatever medical attention is deemed necessary by staff at the Dóchas Centre in Mountjoy Prison.

The woman's solicitor Jonathan Dunphy also requested that his client should undergo a psychiatric assessment.

The judge also granted free legal aid to the 50-year-old. No application for bail was made.

Ms Miano has been remanded in custody to appear at Dun Laoghaire District Court on Friday.
