A neighbour of Gareth Hutch has described putting a sheet over his body after the 35-year-old was shot in Dublin's inner city two years ago.
Three people, including a brother and sister, are accused of murdering the nephew of Gerry "the Monk" Hutch outside Avondale House Flats on North Cumberland Street on the morning of 24 May 2016.
Thomas Fox, with an address at Rutland Court, Dublin 1, Regina Keogh, from Avondale House, Cumberland Street North, Dublin 1 and Jonathan Keogh, of Gloucester Place, Dublin 1 have pleaded not guilty to murder.
Mr Fox has also denied the unlawful possession of a Makarov 9mm handgun the day before the murder.
Neville Mills, who lived in Avondale House Flats, told the court he heard a commotion outside and when he looked out saw that Ross Hutch, a cousin of the victim, had his head in his hands and people running away.
He said when he got to the car park he saw Gareth Hutch lying on the ground.
He said a neighbour threw down a sheet and he covered Mr Hutch with it before standing beside a handgun on the ground until the gardaí arrived.
Another witness, Kelly Hogan, said she saw two men get into a car after the shooting but it was conking out and would not start.
She said they then ran out for the car park.
Ms Hogan said Ross Hutch was screaming and shouting.

Earlier, the three judges of the non-jury Special Criminal Court were shown CCTV footage of the 35-year-old being shot while getting into his car.
Gareth Hutch can been seen leaving the flats complex shortly before before 10am on 24 May and two people running out of the flats after him.
The footage shows Mr Hutch taking off his jacket and putting it in his car before the two people run up behind him and shoot him.
The CCTV then shows the two people going to a nearby parked car where they remained for around a minute before running out of the car park.
The prosecution believes Jonathon Keogh and another man, who is still at large, shot Gareth hutch four times before making their getaway.
It is the prosecution’s case that Regina Keogh and Thomas Fox were part of a joint enterprise, each with their own role in the planning and execution of the killing.
Paul Burns SC claims it was a brutal and callous murder that was premeditated after a heated exchange between Mr Keogh and Mr Hutch the day before.
