The Department of Health has announced no additional deaths linked to Covid-19.
To date there has been a total of 1,746 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.
An additional 32 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, bringing the total to 25,670 here.
The latest figures come as the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) met today to discuss a range of issues. This included the easing of Covid-19 restrictions under the Phase 4 of the roadmap on reopening Ireland.
Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has said a decision on allowing pubs, nightclubs and casinos to reopen would be made by Cabinet tomorrow evening following advice from the NPHET.
He told the Dáil that this would give the sectors a few days to prepare.
There had been an uptake in the number of new Covid-19 cases, he said, but that the rise had not been big enough to prevent a move to stage four of lifting of restrictions.
He also said it was not his decision alone - they needed to take advice from NPHET and Cabinet needed to decide.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that the Government will meet tomorrow when there would be further discussions around travel, and that the Government would consider advice from NPHET.
A 'green list' of countries where Irish people can travel to without restrictions is expected to be published next week.
At a briefing at the Department of Health yesterday, Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said that the number of people in hospital and ICU remains stable.
However, he said that NPHET is keeping a close eye on other issues including the daily number of new cases, the profile of the cases and the R number or reproductive rate of the virus. Last week, the R number was found to be on or above 1.
There are 14 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in hospitals, according to latest figures from the Health Service Executive.
Ten of these patients are in intensive care, and five are being ventilated. There are 47 public critical care beds now available in the health system.
