A motorcyclist has died in hospital following a road collision in Co Mayo on Sunday.
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, occurred on the Castlebar Road in the Newport area at around 4.50pm on 17 August.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Mayo University Hospital following the crash, but has since died.
No one else was injured in the collision.
A man in his 60s was arrested in connection with the incident and was released without charge.
An investigation is under way and gardaí have appealed for information and asked any witnesses to come forward.
They are asking road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling on the Castlebar Road between 4pm and 5pm on 17 August to make it available to them.
