A 300-year-old windmill in Co Roscommon has been significantly damaged by Storm Éowyn.
The iconic structure in Elphin - once used to stone grind wheat and oats using wind power - had its timber sails completely ripped off during the peak of the storm.
A popular visitor attraction, the windmill was restored to its former glory in 1996.
It was officially opened in 1996 by Hollywood actor Gabriel Byrne, whose mother Eileen hailed from Elphin.
