A man in his 40s has died after he was struck by a car in Co Mayo.
The incident happened shortly before 11pm last night on the N60 at Carrowntober Oughter, Manulla, near Balla.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The road is closed and diversions are in place to allow for a forensic examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, including those with camera or dash-cam footage, to come forward.
