A mother and her young daughter have died in a road crash involving a car and lorry in Co Mayo.
The woman in her 40s, who had been driving the car, and her daughter, were killed after their car collided with a lorry on the N26 at Callow between Foxford and Swinford.
It happened shortly before 6pm.
The victims are understood to be from central Mayo.
The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital with injuries that are understood to be non-life threatening.
The N26 is closed pending the completion of a garda forensic collision investigation of the crash scene.
The route is expected to be closed with diversions in place until further notice.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have camera footage and were travelling on the N26 between Swinford and Foxford between 5pm and 6pm to make it available to him.

Separately, a man in his 50s died following a single-car crash in Co Westmeath.
It brings to 96 the number of deaths on Irish roads so far this year - up 11 on the same period last year.
