A man in his 50s has died following a collision involving an e-scooter and a van in the townland of Rusheen in Co Sligo.
Gardaí said that the incident happened at 8.10pm last night.
The man in his 50s, who was travelling on an e-scooter, was fatally injured when he was struck by a van.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, a man in his 30s, received minor injuries and is receiving medical treatment at Sligo University Hospital.
The L1303 road is currently closed in Rusheen pending a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to the incident to contact them.
