A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body in Sligo last week.
Gardaí have said that they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Angela Canavan's body on Monday 1 May.
The body of Ms Canavan, aged in her 50s, was found at her home in St John's Terrace in Sligo town after 8.30pm last Monday.
A post-mortem examination was carried out, however gardaí are not disclosing the results for operational reasons.
On Sunday morning, gardaí arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder.
He is currently being questioned at a garda station in the north-western region.
