A man was due in court this evening in relation to the seizure of around nine kilos of cannabis worth an estimate €180,000.
The drugs were discovered after a search in Co Roscommon yesterday.
The man in his 40s was arrested after the search, which took place late last night in Ballghaderreen.
The drugs were found after gardaí attached to the divisional drug unit and members from Castlerea Garda Station stopped and searched a van.
The man was due before a special sitting of Roscommon District Court this evening.
