A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that happened in Galway earlier this month.
Silvia Dube, in her mid-50s and with an address in Clonboo, Corrandulla, Co Galway, was charged in connection with this fatal road traffic collision and of not remaining at the scene.
Rita Dirrane, from Cill Rónáin, Árainn, died after she was struck by a car on the R336 in Na Forbacha, (Furbo) Conamara on the evening of the 16 December.
Ms Dube appeared before a special sitting of Galway District Court on Monday 28 December.
She has been remanded in custory to reappear before Galway District Court on Monday 4 January.
