Gardaí in Galway have appealed to people to ensure goods they purchase online are genuine, after counterfeit clothing and footwear was recovered following a raid on a house in Tuam.
Detectives say the products were being sold and distributed around the country. Some items had been packed and were ready for postage.
A total of 150 pairs of counterfeit trainers were found, along with clothing branded as Moncler, Canada Goose, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren.
It is estimated that if genuine, the goods seized would have a value of around €80,000.
The items were found in a number of rooms in the house, as part of a search under the 1996 Trade Marks Act.
Investigations are continuing and no arrests have been made.
Gardaí say there are potential health and safety risks when purchasing counterfeit products, as they may be of a substandard quality to genuine articles.
They also highlighted the impact such sales have on local businesses and the knock on consequences for jobs in retail operations.
