A man in his 70s has died following a road crash in Co Mayo yesterday morning.
The incident happened at around 9.45am on the N5 at Belleek, Castlebar.
The man was the driver of a car which was involved in a collision with a truck.
He was taken to Mayo University Hospital in a critical condition, where he died earlier today as a result of his injuries.
No other people were injured in the incident.
Gardaí at Castlebar have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward, and have appealed for any road users travelling in the area at the time who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to gardaí.
