Up to 200 people gathered in Galway city this afternoon to protest against homelessness and demand greater government action on the issue.
According to figures gathered by the group from housing charities in Galway, 452 people are homeless in the city and county tonight.
The group said they will present Galway city councillors with a list of demands to tackle the crisis at Monday night's monthly meeting.
These include that Galway City Council purchase empty homes and apartments in order to house people who are homeless and that the homeless crisis is declared a national emergency.
