A new fire station has officially opened in Tuam, Co Galway.
Tuam Fire Brigade is the busiest unit outside Galway city and the new facility has significantly increased space and training operations.
The new station is a state of the art facility with four appliance bays, a large drill yard and steel training tower.
The station is located close to the new ring road with ease of access to the town and also to the M17 and surrounding towns.
The new station will also act as the Galway Fire and Rescue Service training centre and already over 20 courses have been completed here.
