Cannabis resin worth an estimated €140,000 has been seized in Co Leitrim.
€135,000 worth of the drug was found when a car was stopped and searched in the Townspark area of Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
The driver of the car - a 50-year-old man - was arrested and he is being held at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.
In a follow up search at a house in Manorhamilton, cannabis resin, valued at an estimated €5,000, and a large amount of cash, were recovered.
Gardaí say the seizures are part of an investigation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the region.
