A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of a 54-year-old woman who died following an incident on a farm near Headford, Co Galway yesterday.
Gardaí believe the woman was tending to cattle when she sustained fatal injuries.
The incident happened sometime between 6am and 12.45pm.
A local doctor was called to the scene at Curracuggeen and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is being treated as a workplace accident and will be investigated by the Health and Safety Authority.
