This year’s Stylish Silage competition in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, has seen over 70 entries.
The competition is the latest craze to hit the area, as part of the local An Tóstal festival.
The number of entries has increased from last year, which saw more than 50 entries to the competition.
People have been dressing up bales like never seen before - with everything from a giant teddy bear to U2, Mrs Brown stuck in a washing machine to a traditional Leitrim cottage and a not-so-traditional Leitrim Lighthouse.

Hugh James Gallagher, chairperson of the festival committee said the whole community had got behind the idea.
"There's been great creativity", he said, "but also great rivalry - friendly of course!"
Judges whittled the 70 entries down to 12 which made the final cut.
The Wishing Well entry (above) was the winner, with a fun farm animal entry taking second place (main picture) and the Giant Teddy Bear entry (below) came third.
The overall winner of the competition was decided by public vote at the silage wrap party last tonight.
