Irish Rural Link has called for increased resources to tackle a growing number of burglaries in rural areas including more gardaí, funding for neighbourhood watch schemes and CCTV.
The calls been echoed by a Co Roscommon publican, who has decided to close down his business because of multiple robberies in the last 12 months.
