Solidarity-People Before Profit candidate Ruth Coppinger has called for issues around women's right to be more prominent in the election campaign.
She said gender violence, sexism, the gender pay gap and unaffordable childcare should be central election issues.
This morning Ms Coppinger, along with a dozen of supporters, travelled by mini-bus to various locations around the Dublin West constituency to raise the issues.
Ms Coppinger also said if the public want real change then Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael should not be returned to office.
And on Brexit Day, she said the UK leaving the European Union should not be used as an excuse to delay workers' entitlements.
