Irish toy company HoloToyz has announced a new partnership with Mattel that will see the inclusion of Barbie and Hot Wheels in its Augmented Reality (AR) play offering.

HoloToyz brings characters and educational themes to life as 3D animations via an app.

An AR Fashion Dress-Up Barbie Set will allow users to dress Barbie in a selection of magnetic outfits and watch the doll come to life in 3D animation, wearing the outfit they chose.

The Hot Wheels AR will feature magnetic cubes, jigsaw puzzles, temporary tattoos, and stickers, all designed to immerse users in an interactive experience.

"We are so proud to collaborate with Mattel on such an iconic project," said Kate Scott, CEO and founder of HoloToyz.

"Bringing Barbie and Hot Wheels to life through AR is a dream come true for us, and we can't wait for kids to experience the magic of our technology," Ms Scott said.

HoloToyz was founded by husband-and-wife duo Kate Scott and Declan Fahy from Co Meath.
