30 new jobs are to be created by Portugese tech consulting company Noesis at a new IT centre of excellence in Dundalk.
The new roles will be added over the next three years and will be in areas such as quality management and devops, data analytics and AI, and enterprise solutions.
It is the latest expansion in Europe by Lisbon based Noesis and part of a global growth plan by the firm.
"Today's launch represents a significant moment in our commitment to increase our footprint in Ireland," said Nelson Pereira chief technology at Noesis.
"We are very proud to have a presence in here, to grow together with our clients and our team."
"To us, Ireland represents a key market, we recognise the amazing talent it has to offer, and we look forward to what’s to come."
The new Irish office will offer clients a range of IT services and solutions.
"The establishment by Noesis of this new facility in Dundalk is very welcome news," said Donal Travers, global head of technology and CCBS at IDA Ireland, which supported the investment.
"This investment not only strengthens the professional services landscape, but adds to the strengthening technology ecosystem in Dundalk and the North East."
Noesis already has over, 1,100 staff operating in Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, UK, USA and UAE.
"This expansion will create significant job opportunities for Dundalk and surrounding areas, which is very much in line with Government’s aim to increase regional investment, while also benefiting businesses through the provision of innovative technology solutions," said Minister for Enterprise, Peter Burke.
