Ryanair has reported an 8% increase in passenger numbers for March as its load factor remained steady.

The airline said it carried a total of 13.6 million passengers last month, up from the 12.6 million the same month last year.

Its load factor - how many seats it fills on each flight - stood at 93%.

Ryanair said it operated over 77,000 flights in March. It cancelled almost 950 flights due to the Israel/Gaza conflict however.

Shares in the company moved higher in Dublin trade today.
