IT service provider Nostra has appointed Michael McAteer as its new Chairman.

As a Managing Partner at Grant Thornton Ireland, Nostra said Mr McAteer has a proven track record of leadership and expertise in financial advisory services.

"As Chairman, I will have the flexibility to retain my role at Grant Thornton while also having the opportunity to share my insights and expertise," Mr McAteer said.

"It will be a very exciting time for both myself and the Nostra team, and I'm looking forward to seeing where we can go together in the coming months and years," he added.

Mr McAteer will support Nostra's growth strategy to increase annual revenue growth from €50 million to €250 million within five years.

Last year, the company completed four acquisitions and created over 100 new jobs with the launch of its cybersecurity hub in Galway.

"At this pivotal moment in Nostra’s growth, we welcome Michael’s expertise and insights to help us pave the exciting road ahead," said Kevin O'Loughlin, Nostra co-founder and CEO.

"We have a shared vision to empower our customers with the right IT solutions so they can focus on what matters to them, and I look forward to working with Michael as we continue to scale our best-in-class service," he added.
