Dublin-headquartered EdTech firm IreeMay has announced a €1.8 million funding round.

The company is developing a programme for secondary school students to help them understand their options after school.

"Our mission is to help each child determine life paths that combine their strengths, interests and personal goals," said Patrick Myers, chief operating officer.

"We are building an ecosystem for the child's entire support system to understand and discuss what's available and best for them," he added.

IreeMay said the funding will be invested in building the platform and technology, and hiring operations staff in Ireland.

The funding round is over two stages, with €800,000 this year and €1 million in 2025.

The company said it plans to launch in Ireland and then expand to Northern Ireland and Britain in the short term, with further expansion in continental Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand.

IreeMay said its programme will guide students through a quick online assessment and provide immediate results. The results are then provided to parents, guardians and guidance counsellors.

"Following the first assessment, students are enrolled into a community platform that will deliver year-round support, tools, mentors, courses, and focused material to assist their discovery and execution of their postsecondary school journey," the company said.
