100 new jobs are being created in Dublin by Workforce management platform Rippling.

The company has opened an EU headquarters in the capital which is to serve as a hub for its expansion into Europe.

It has already recruited 35 staff here.

"As one of Europe's leading tech hubs and a strong talent pool, Dublin is the perfect base for our EU headquarters," said Parker Conrad, founder and CEO of Rippling.

"We’re excited to launch in Ireland and support businesses all across Europe."

The business was established in the US in 2016 and now has 10,000 customers.

It brings HR, IT and finance systems into one platform, including payroll, expenses and benefits.

In April it closed a Series E funding round which raised $500m.

That put a valuation of $11.25 billion on the firm.

The investment is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.

"Ireland has a proven track record of being an attractive location for global companies to access a well-established talent pool," said IDA Executive Director, Mary Buckley.

"This new addition to the Dublin ecosystem cements our position on the world stage as a leading technology hub. I wish Rippling and its current 35 employees in Ireland every success for the future.’’

The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney, welcomed the announcement saying he had no doubt that Dublin’s rich talent pool will allow the business to continue its growth within Ireland.
