Adaire Fox-Martin has been appointed as the new Head of Google in Ireland.
She replaces Nick Leeder who is returning to Australia after two years in the role - a period which included leading the company's substantial operations here through the pandemic.
Ms Adaire Fox-Martin will take up her new position tomorrow.
She is currently Google Cloud President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a role she has been in since July of last year.
She will continue in that job while also carrying out her new responsibilities as Head of Google in Ireland.
"In the short time I have been a part of Google Ireland I have seen the breadth and depth of talent and value across the Irish operations," she said.
"I look forward to leading Google Ireland into this next phase of our almost two decades here."
Prior to joining Google last year, Adaire Fox-Martin worked at software developer SAP as Executive Board Member and President of Global Sales, Services, and Customer Engagement.
She also spent time working in Oracle where she held a range of leadership positions.
She originally began her career as a secondary school teacher in England before moving into technology.
Two years ago, Fortune Magazine named her in its Top 50 Most Powerful Women International List for the fourth time running.

Google currently employs 8,000 staff in Ireland, 4,000 of which are staff members with the rest contractors.
In 2020, the most recent full year for which accounts are available, Google recorded a profit before tax at its Irish operations of €2.854 billion, up from €1.94 billion a year earlier.
Turnover rose from €45.7 billion to €48.4 billion, an increase of €2.7 billion on the back of higher advertising revenues.
A dividend was not paid for 2020, but according to the accounts, the company paid interim dividends of €3 billion to its parent in 2021.
The company paid tax, including a Revenue settlement totaling €345m, of €622.3m for the twelve months, up from €263.3m in 2019.
