Irish cyber and data security company Information Security Assurance Services (ISAS) has merged with global institutional governance, risk and compliance service provider Waystone.
ISAS is one of four companies joining Dublin headquartered Waystone as part of the company's creation of a new global compliance business.
"We are delighted to be able to bring our specific technology expertise to Waystone Compliance Solutions, further strengthening the roll-out of Waystone’s technology-based compliance solutions," said Conor Flynn, Sinead McDonald and Martin Kerrigan from ISAS.
"We believe in the highest levels of data governance, based on the pillars of information security and data protection, formed by an organisation’s risk appetite and regulatory environment."
Previously Waystone’s focus was on compliance services to fund managers at fund level, but this expansion will see it extend its support to corporates.
ISAS was added to the Waystone group because of its specific technical expertise and its knowledge around the European Data Protection landscape.
"We have listened to our clients and taken on board their frequent feedback regarding the difficulties of compartmentalised compliance services," said Waystone’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Cahill.
"We have been challenged by our clients to solve these problems and the creation of Waystone Compliance Solutions mean we can continue to act on growth opportunities and are now in a strong position to provide clients with a truly global compliance solution that is unique in the industry."
The other companies merging with Waystone are US based Titan Regulation, Singapore headquartered Argus Global and CCL, a UK company with operations in the Middle East.
