US based digital experience management software developer Sitecore has bought Irish firm Boxever for an undisclosed fee.
Founded ten years ago, Dublin based Boxever has developed a digital optimisation platform that uses data and AI to help the firms with customer experience.
Its products are used by companies such as Emirates, Ryanair, Vodafone and Allied Irish Banks.
"Joining forces with Sitecore creates a disruptive proposition that will redefine what's possible for the industry, enabling organizations of all sizes to create seamless, data driven experiences in any channel," said David O’Flanagan, CEO of Boxever.
"We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished at Boxever through the contribution of our employees and partners, and we’re looking forward to this next chapter."
The move follows the announcement of Sitecore’s $1.2bn investment plan which aims to propel its growth and product development.
The deal is expected to close before the end of March.
At that stage, David O’Flanagan will take on a leadership role in Sitecore.
Sitecore said it expects to invest and grow Boxever's headquarters in Dublin.
