British-based digital banking app Revolut said today that it has signed up one million Irish customers since it launched here.

Revolut today also announced the launch of Revolut Junior to its Premium and Metal Revolut customers in Ireland. The new product is a specially created money management app for parents and children aged between seven and 17.

Revolut Junior accounts, which can only be created by a parent or legal guardian who is an existing Revolut user, offers the tools and experience to equip young people with financial skills they will need by the time they become financially independent.

Headquartered in London, with 2,000 people in 23 offices, Revolut is now one of the biggest finTech companies in the world, with over 10 million customers.

Since its launch in 2015, Revolut has processed more than a billion transactions worth over $100 billion.
