Louise Phelan is to join a leading solar power producer as Group Deputy CEO, having spent thirteen years as Vice President at PayPal.
Ms Phelan left her role at PayPal earlier this year, and has spent 30 years working in US multinationals.
She will take up the role with Phelan Energy Group, a firm established by her brother Paschal Phelan in 2005.
PEG is active in energy markets in more than 15 countries around the world.
The group has invested more than €540 million in grid-connected solar plants and has a further €135m in projects under construction.
"I am very excited to be joining Phelan Energy Group, led by Paschal Phelan, and the dynamic global team as Deputy Group CEO. I have lots of plans already, including the development of a business academy, as part of an enhanced corporate social responsibility strategy," concluded Ms Phelan.
Ms Phelan currently is a board member of Ryanair and a member of the Voxpro board advisory committee.
