Handy Technologies, the online start-up offering on-demand access to house cleaners and handymen, has been sold for an undisclosed sum to US firm Angi Homeservices.
Handy was co-founded by four people in 2012, including Irishman Oisin Hanrahan.
He has committed to staying on with the company for the next three years and will continue to be based out of Handy's New York City location.
"We set out to create a better, easier way to find and book quality professionals for household services, and over the past six years our vision grew into a leading marketplace," Oisin Hanrahan said.
"Our primary goal remains the same, to create the best service experience possible for our customers and pros, and by joining ANGI Homeservices we can now bring that experience to more people," he added.
