Clinical research firm ICON has announced the acquisition of Mapi Group, a health outcomes research and commercialisation company with around 750 employees in 12 countries.
The deal makes ICON the world’s second largest provider of late phase services, which includes post-approval research, language services, consultancy, and pricing & market access.
It also enables ICON to have direct access to Mapi Research Trust, the industry’s most subscribed library of Clinical Outcomes Assessments.
The Dublin-headquartered company also published its second quarter results today, which show record net business wins of $563m and revenues of $431m.
ICON has over 12,000 employees globally, including 1,000 employees based in Ireland at offices in Dublin and Limerick.
