The new store, opened today by Connecticut Governor Dannel P Malloy, brings the total number of Primark stores to 310 across 11 countries.

The Dublin-headquartered company is set to open six further stores in the US.

Commenting on the launch of Primark in Connecticut, Paul Marchant, Chief Executive of Primark, said: “Following our two US store openings at Downtown Crossing Boston and King of Prussia Pennsylvania, we are delighted that Connecticut will be the location of our third store.

“We continue to receive extremely positive customer feedback and the opening of our third store at Danbury Fair Mall marks another important step in presenting the Primark brand to US consumers and raising awareness of our unique formula of Amazing Fashion, Amazing Prices.”
