LinkedIn has appointed John Herlihy as Vice President of the company and Managing Director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region.
In this role, Mr Herlihy will lead the Global professional network’s business efforts in EMEA, overseeing the company’s strategic direction while continuing to drive business and member growth.
Mr Herlihy previously worked at Google, where he was VP of SMB Sales and Head of Google Ireland.
He is currently an active non-executive director of a number of private and public companies, primarily in finance, biotech, software and agri-food sectors.
Mr Herlihy replaces Ariel Eckstein, who has been LinkedIn’s Managing Director in EMEA for the past four years.
Mr Eckstein has assumed a global leadership role at LinkedIn, heading up a worldwide team that looks after the needs of the company’s largest customers.
