Dublin-based software protection company Inishtech has raised €1.8m in funding from a syndicate of investors led by venture capital company Kernel Capital.
The funding is through the Bank of Ireland Seed Fund, and the other investors include Enterprise Ireland, the Halo Business Angel Network and the company's founders.
Inishtech was set up in 2009 by Aidan Gallagher, John O'Sullivan and David Smyth and uses technology provided by Microsoft, which in turn has a significant minority stake in the company.
The company provides code protection and licence management technology to software developers and product managers, and now has customers in Europe, North America and the Far East.
Inishtech CEO Aidan Gallagher said the new investment would allow it to invest further in product development, sales, marketing and employment.
