Tom Savage has been named as the new chairman of the RTÉ Authority. He is currently chairman of the Communications Clinic
Communications Minister Eamon Ryan today announced the other members of the new Authority.
They are Patricia Quinn, former CEO Arts Council, Karlin Lillington, the Irish Times' technology correspondent, Fergus Armstrong, the former chairman of McCann Fitzgerald Solicitors, film and documentary maker Alan Gilsenan, Seán O'Sullivan, managing director of Seabrook Research, Emer Finnan, the director of strategic development at the EBS and the Director General of RTÉ Cathal Goan.
The Authority has been appointed for a period of six months and will operate as an interim authority ss the Broadcasting Bill is currently before the Oireachtas.
