New research suggests that Google, Yahoo, Aer Lingus, Ryanair and RTE have the most popular websites amongst Ireland's 1.5 million users.
The Net Behaviour Report covers 500 Irish and worldwide websites.
Google is the most popular site, visited by 78% of all Irish users per month. Yahoo was second.
Aer Lingus and Ryanair were almost equal in third and fourth respectively, with 48% of users visiting these sites. RTE was fifth and was the leading media site. It scored 46%, followed by Independent.ie at 26%.
Among financial sites, AIB's site attracted 30%, followed by Bank of Ireland 365Online.ie at 25%. Both were behind property site MyHome.ie, which took 10th spot in the overall list.
Net Behaviour says the research was gathered at 30 online sampling points, not door-to-door or by phone.
