Irish company Helix Health, which provides software for the healthcare sector, is to invest €2.7m in research and development. Enterprise Ireland is backing the move.
The company says the aim is to develop a patient management system which will boost its expansion into the UK.
Helix chief executive Howard Beggs said the company currently generated 15% of sales in the UK and hoped to raise this to 25-30% in 2008.
