Mobile phone operator Vodafone Ireland has announced that it has acquired fixed line and internet provider Perlico in a deal worth €80m.
However, Vodafone Ireland said today that over 50% of that amount is based on the future performance of its acquisition.
Perlico, which was formed in 2002, currently has 62,500 customers and employs 67 people.
Perlico will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vodafone Ireland, but will continue to operate separately and will retain its brand name.
The deal will not affect existing Perlico customers, but they will now have access to a wider range of services.
