RTE's John Murray has won the Business Broadcast award at the first UCD Smurfit School Business Journalist Awards. He won the award for The Business, the half-hour business magazine programme on RTE Radio 1.
The programme has been on air for three years and is produced by Ian Wilson.
RTE's Emma McNamara was also short-listed in the same category for her reports on Morning Ireland on the economic effects of the movement of large numbers of Polish building workers to Ireland.
