April buy lifts Zamano performance

Mobile phone services company Zamano has reported pre-tax profits of just under €1.4m for the first half of this year, up 12% on the same period last year. Turnover jumped by 70% to €9.7m.

Chairman Rod Matthews said the company was comfortable with market expectations of 'significant' growth in revenue and earnings growth for the full year.

The company said its acquisition of Eirborne in April was delivering revenue, profits and savings ahead of target.

Zamano said it was not affected by the recent controversy over television voting and competitions, as it was not involved in these areas. But it said it had put more stringent guidelines in place after a review of its UK operations and would soon review its Irish and Australian activities.
