Software group Trintech has reported a net loss of $1m for the second quarter of this year, though revenue jumped by 48% compared with the same period last year to $8.9m.
Trintech said it had stepped up spending on sales and marketing, mainly because of the acquisition of a healthcare business in the final quarter of last year.
Adjusted underlying losses, measured by EBITDA, were narrowed from just under $1m to $200,000.
Cyril McGuire, chairman and CEO, described the Q2 performance as solid. 'We are continuing to invest in new products and markets as we position Trintech for broader market adoption especially in new growth markets of financial services and healthcare,' he said.
