Zamano trading continues to be strong

Irish mobile technology company Zamano said today trading continues to be strong and a recent acquisition will further boost profits in the second half.

The Dublin-listed company said it expects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) growth of 15% for the first quarter compared to the same three months last year.

Zamano acquired Eirborne Text Promotions, a provider of mobile entertainment services, in April for €1.7m.
It said today its second quarter will benefit from the contribution from Eirborne, resulting in a further acceleration in growth.

Following the Airborne acquisition, a new offering providing video mail and webtext to users of social networking sites such as Bebo is also imminent, the firm said.

In March 2007 Zamano reported annual profits of over €2.2m in its first year as a listed company, with turnover up 38% to €13.3m.
